Observing Holy Week
Palm Sunday: Links to recorded services at bottom of this page.
Holy Monday & Tuesday: The Daily Office will be available at all times during Holy Week.
Holy Wednesday: 6pm Tenebrae by Zoom! We had a lot of fun praying the Stations of the Cross last Wednesday. Let’s try taking it up a notch! The name Tenebrae (the Latin word for “darkness” or “shadows”) has for centuries been applied to the ancient monastic night and early morning services (Matins and Lauds) of the last three days of Holy Week, which in medieval times came to be celebrated on the preceding evenings. Enjoy the entire service on Wednesday night. We will start by briefly checking in, then worship together. Abruptly after the ‘Christ light’ reappears, the meeting will close. (This is not a mistake, the time after the service is meant for silent meditation. Here’s the link: (Meeting ID: 806-849-322; Meeting Password: 849760).
Maundy Thursday: 6pm by Zoom. We will keep our evening activities happening at 6pm just to avoid confusion. The service will be ‘zoomed’ from the church. We will not have time for ‘check in,’ we will merely live stream the service by zoom. Please observe the service from home. We do not want to run counter to the intent of the Bishop/President/Governor and have a public service in the church. Here’s the link: (Meeting ID: 781-059-6515; Meeting Password: 434868).
Good Friday & Holy Saturday: 12 Noon by Zoom. The Tridium service continues at noon on Good Friday and Holy Saturday with a video stream from zoom. Same ‘rules’ as for Maundy Thursday, please! Here is the link: (Meeting ID: 809-723-768; Meeting Password: 434868).
Easter: We plan to Zoom stream the Easter Eucharist and then would like to have a virtual coffee hour at 11:30am just so we can chat and see how everyone is doing. More information will follow later. Also, plan for another round of Eucharists on Easter Monday by appointment please.
Note: All plans are subject to change. Please check this post during the week to be sure that you have the latest information! Thanks and have a blessed and Passion-tide as we await the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
A Second Note: The Bishop has authorized Easter themed services when this national emergency has been lifted and we can return to our church building. We will take full advantage of this authorization!!!!!!
